SUBMISSION!!!!!

I submitted my thesis this week!!! Hooray!!! The blitz of the past month - or the past few months - is finally over. I am exhausted, totally drained. I'm now trying to catch up on sleep and work and stuff... and I have absolutely no energy. I'll take next week off, to recover, and chill with my best bud coming to see me from the States - looking forward to relaxing with a friend!! Then the following week is my thesis defense, which, if I pass it, marks the END of my career as a grad student. I can't wait.

Here are my fantastic research group groupies, celebrating my submission. David made a pavlova from scratch (gourmet chef that he is!) and Holly brought a bottle of  French champagne (wine connoisseur that she is) and we all had a very good tea break indeed. Then in the evening my physicist and non-physicist friends came together to celebrate in a local bistro. I don't have those pix downloaded yet, but here's the one from the lab:



Hoo boy. That's enough exertion for now. I'm going to go and veg. Bye!
