Last month I said: Still exploring the creative world of ceramics, and
I've traded in my running shoes for my rowing blade. There's nothing
like watching the sun rise from the middle of the River Cam...

But now it's June, and the May Bumps  and May Balls are over...
Clare Hall finished respectably, I've once again put away my rowing
blade, and my sunburn is beginning to fade as I'm trying to catch up at
work. Russia was stunning, and the friends have gone home now. The
undergrads are gone, Cambridge is rapidly filling up with pesky
tourists, and people are drinking Pimms everywhere you look. Summer is
really and truly here, and all my British friends who are still around
are invited to a 4th of July barbecue. Cheeky, I know, but hey- it'll
spark some lively debate.
