I then was able to spend a few days backpacking in the Andes - gorgeous views of the mountains!! And so refreshing to be outdoors and camp and just enjoy God's creation. There are few things I like better than backpacking. And then getting to explore Inca ruins was just the icing on the cake!
It was a great trip. Good work, good relaxation, and I have returned refreshed and invigorated to begin my next project... wedding planning! Yes, the Australian man who appeared in previous posts has asked me to marry him, and I've said yes! Check out this page for more on that matter.
YAY FOR WONDERFUL TIME IN PERU! On my 3-week MIS trip, we didn't hike to Maccu Pichu, but it was glorious nonetheless. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the engagement! How exciting. :) Sounds like you had a great trip to Peru as well. It is nice to see immediate, practical fruits of our labor, isn't it?I was checking out Natural Bridge State Park yesterday after remembering all your beautiful pictures. We are looking for a good spot for a fall camping weekend. Unfortunately, while they allow dogs at the campsites, they do not allow dogs on any of the hiking trails, which pretty much defeats the purpose. I am bummed! I think we might go close by at Red River Gorge instead. I will just have to enjoy your pictures of the bridge!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Annie!
ReplyDeleteThat's a HUGE wafer you're etching! Thanks for your email earlier, kid. x
