Saw Tsotsi last night with a
South African youth worker. A thoughtful look at the humanity of the
gangs of Johannesburg, and a story of redemption found in an unlikely
place.
Off to France again tomorrow!!
but this time to les Alpes for
a weekend of skiing with two jolly English colleagues. We'll get to see
the Davises and catch up with the Rhone-Alpes contingent of
TEAM-France. I can't wait to be in the mountains again.
Happy St Paddy's Day!
ReplyDeletehey, girl! hope it's a good trip! :)
ReplyDeletelately i've been reading "a severe mercy" - have you read it? it made me think of you - an important part of the story takes place at Oxford (i know, it's not Cambridge... but that other famous brainiac place... alas, having never yet set foot in the British Isles i am woefully inclined to equate the two...) and they live this smashing life of studying and lovely times with friends and plays and music and, in short, do all sorts of valuable, worthwhile things. which makes me think of you : )
Come home, Dear.
