Random thoughts.

Easter weekend with old friends was wonderful. Here are a couple of shots (from my phone!) of a hike with Tricia and Andy, around the lake behind Tricia's family's house. The sunshine, good fellowship, and nature were refreshing to experience.

The music at my old church was wonderful. I got recruited to play my clarinet and was glad to be able to participate. There was a lovely mix of majestic 'big hymns', old pieces (eg Bach) and new things... a few were even written by members of the congregation! I was impressed at the creativity and musicality of the church folk, and how their creations were embraced by the church family as a whole. Here is a link to a recording from some who play/sing/write church music.

Then I had the unexpected gift of a bit of time with my brother! Matthew came to town briefly and I was able to see him. :) This pic is from another hike.

...and then I'll leave you with this random tidbit, courtesy of xkcd: (I couldn't resist.)

I can relate. Can you?

  1. I love the comic - ha! My husband was a band geek in high school and he always claimed he never spilled a tray of food in Chuck's because of the marching band roll-step. :) Glad you had a good Easter! It is quickly rising on my list of favorite holidays.
