The Cherry Blossom Festival

In the news today, sadly, Oxford beat Cambridge in this year's boat race. Moment of silence, please.

In other news, today was the national kite festival in DC, marking the start of the Cherry Blossom Festival! I'm glad I was persuaded to brave the crowds and go downtown for it.  (If nothing else, it got me out of the house!) It was a lovely day. The blossoms really transform the look of the place.
