I find this advice apt, particularly coming on the heels of last weekend's Christian Postgrad Conference, in England's gorgeous Peak District. It was a weekend at once intense and refreshing, inspiring and relaxing... Many thoughtful grad students and postdocs came from all over the UK to think deeply about how we might live out our Christian faith in the academy, and in particular how we might integrate Christianity with our various disciplines. There were many challenging talks, among them one particularly brilliant one on the Road to Emmaus, re-interpreting that familiar Biblical passage as a new paradigm for postmodern evangelism. I clicked the link that said "Tuppence help" right above this little comment box, but it didn't tell me what anything like "tuppence" meant.My supervisor was telling me about this guy at afit who finished all his college but one class in 3 years, then did masters work then a phd at the same place (not afit) and got all 3 done in 6 years total. That's crazy. [and then he went into the air force]so don't go crazy. [but maybe I'm crazy ... I think you're crazy]
